There are 3 access types within Instant BSI Inspector, Viewer and Administrator. To add/ amend users you should login and on the right hand menu click ‘My Account’ and then select ‘Manage Users’.
Invite/ Create Inspector
Inspectors can be added from the Invite Inspector tab. You can assign them an employee ID if you wish but the only required entry is their email address. You can choose to either invite them to all inspections (NOTE: this includes all future inspections within your company) or to specific inspections by clicking the relevant box beside the inspections in the right hand list.
Invite/ Create Viewer
Viewers can be added from the Invite Viewers tab. You can assign them an employee ID if you wish but the only required entry is their email address. You can choose to either invite them to all inspections (NOTE: this includes all future inspections within your company) or to specific inspections by clicking the relevant box beside the inspections in the right hand list.
Invite/ Create Admin
Viewers can be added from the Invite Admin tab. You can assign them an employee ID if you wish but the only required entry is their email address. Note Admins have access to all permissions described above, these accounts should only be issued to suitably cleared employees / agents.
User Access Levels
Within Instant BSI there are 4 levels of user. These are:
User Type | Details |
Account Manager | One per Company Account. Can create, edit, and delete: engines, inspections and users (including admins). |
Admin | Can create, edit, and delete: engines, inspections and users (excluding other admins). |
Viewer | Can view inspections online of either selected or all inspections (Access type is set by Admin). |
Inspector | Can populate and/or view inspections online of either selected inspections or all inspections (Access type is set by Admin). |
User Management
Requires Admin permissions. To access user management click on ‘My Account’ in the header and then ‘Manage Users’.
Editing User
In the first screen ‘Users’ you can click on ‘Actions’ per user and either change their role, delete them, or if they have the Viewer/Inspector roles assign them to inspections.
Invitations
Within Invitations you can view any outstanding invitations sent to a user and edit or delete them if they are no longer relevant. To re-send the email invitation click ‘Resend’ on the ‘Actions’ menu.
You can click ‘Copy Invite Link’ to copy the invitations sign in url to your clipboard for manual sending.
Paste this link by holding ‘Control’ and clicking ‘v’ on your keyboard.
